The beach is known to be hot during the summer months and she had to wear a t-shirt and shorts for the trip there. Oberon the Butterfree flutters behind the Galarian Ambassador when she takes him to train there. The butterfly Pokemon hadn’t been to the beach before, so she is glad to see the Butterfree hover around the air in a giddy manner. [break][break]

She hasn’t forgotten that the upcoming conflict between the League and Rocket would be covering the cities soon. With how much medical training she had to do at the Rustboro Military Hospital too, her skill will be more into helping those who were injured than to fight alongisde the League officials.

When the Butterfree notices a wild Mareanie sunbathing on the sands of the beach, the bug type Pokemon hovers over to greet the spiky Pokemon curiously. While the wild Mareanie gets a bit of a surprise from the curious Butterfree, the water type Pokemon moves to another part of the shore. Oberon does not think that the wild Mareanie didn’t like him too much, so he goes back to the diplomat’s side.[break][break]

Red eyes from the Butterfree watch the waves from the ocean wash over the sands in the shore and he would go down to touch the water with one hand.

A Clawitzer jumps from the ocean water to look at the flying Butterfree. Oberon jumps back from the appearance of the large water type Pokemon though the bug type thinks that the wild Pokemon might want a training partner. Before the Butterfree could ask if the female crustacean wanted one, the blue water type Pokemon crawls to the other side of Slateport Beach.[break][break]

The Butterfree flies ahead of the ambassador and he’ll look around for other Pokemon near the beach. He’s a little sad that the wild Pokemon ignored him, but maybe the crustacean was looking for another Pokemon to spar with.

Oberon the Butterfree hears a splash in the water as he turns around to see a wild Remoraid hopping from the waves. When the ambassador looks at the fish Pokemon, she is familiar with the species being native to her late mother’s country. When the Remoraid comes to the surface, the male butterfly Pokemon talks with it as if he was nodding along with what the fish was saying to him.[break][break]

Only Oberon can understand that the wild Pokemon wanted to train with him, so the Buttefree starts with a Psybeam. The rainbow beam of psychic energy hits the Remoraid square on its body and the fish contorts. It ends up feeling the pain from the Psybeam hitting it and the Remoraid strikes back with a Water Gun. [break][break]

When Water Gun douses the body of the butterfly Pokemon, a well-timed Shadow Ball makes the Remoraid weak enough that it’s prime for capture. Elise takes out a Dusk Ball from her pack and tosses it at the wild silver fish.[break][break]
